Notice of application of Korea Electronic Travel
○ 6. 1. Since the resumption of the Jeju visa-free visa, Jeju Island has been abused as a detour route for foreigners who have been denied electronic travel authorization (K-ETA). .
○ Accordingly, the Ministry of Justice decided that it could not be delayed any longer and decided to introduce the Electronic Travel Authorization System (K-ETA) to Jeju Island from 9.1.
* From August 2 to 22, 855 out of 1,504 Thais who arrived in Jeju were denied entry (56.8%), 749 people (49.8%) had a history of not getting an electronic travel authorization (K-ETA), and 101 out of 649 people who received entry permission. (15.6%) left without permission.
○ The K-ETA to be introduced to Jeju Island this time is applicable to citizens of 112 visa-free countries, and it is decided not to apply to citizens of other countries in consideration of the proposals of Jeju Island, etc.
